Also included is some brief info about our Brother Russel's visit to HOPE. Russel is from Oklahoma in the USA, is part of both the RHM and HOPE boards, and visits HOPE annually to stay connected and see firsthand what is happening in the HOPE ministry. He's always been a great blessing to everyone here who knows him. Also in the newsletter is other various news from the field here in India.
I have a personal request: if you're taking time to read this, please send me a quick email and let me know that you're reading the content and/or praying. MANY times I don't get any feedback whatsoever, and I honestly wonder if anyone is reading. A little more than a week ago we sent out an email appealing for prayer about helping pastors in a volatile area of India (whom we try to help a few times a year), and about helping a broken family (mother and 2 young girls who have been part of our HOPE School) whose father died a month or so back (left with over $2,500 of debt, a good part of it the mother didn't know anything about). For both of these needs we received one donation for $50.
That's the painful situation here: looking at broken and needy people whom we feel the Lord has placed in our path (obviously, RHM can't even begin to meet the needs of everyone we see; I'm only talking about those who come into our lives whom we feel the Lord would want us to help in some way), and yet perhaps most of the time simply do not have the funds to do anything significant for them. As we have shared with you recently, we're trusting the Father to fulfill His glorious promises in regard to financial provision (such as 2 Corinthians 9:8-12), not so we can have a Mercedes to drive, but so that we can spread the Gospel and meet the needs of hurting people. Please pray with us.
