Some Changes
March
Update

Dear RHM Friends,

Praise the Lord!
We're not talking about earth-shattering changes, and not quite as big of an issue as the Corona Virus, but a change nonetheless. Being continually bogged down with administrative work (record keeping, communication, etc) and ministry, it's been tough for a long time to even spend time doing the primary desire of our lives: spending quality time with our GOD. The Spirit keeps saying to my heart, "Come away with Me" via His Word, songs and prayer life, so it's time to obey.

Praise GOD for a few people who are helping with other works on the admin side, but since I'm the only one who's actually "on the ground" and who actually knows firsthand what's going on here (and who's fluent in English), then certain aspects of the ministry only I can do. Thus said, the newsletters and updates may not come as often, and they may be more reduced in the future. At 60 years young, time with our Father and Savior needs to become the highest priority of whatever days are remaining in this short life. So pray that, regardless of the quantity of our communication efforts, the Holy Spirit will continue to touch hearts to support and pray for this ministry here in India. Sadly, the saying is true: "Out of sight, out of mind." So there's usually the concern that if we don't keep people informed, they'll forget about us. Trusting in Him!

Please keep the widows & elderly ministry in your prayers! So many hurting elderly in this world. We praise Him so much for connecting us with World Challenge, so by His grace we're able to do more for the widows. But there are also many elderly who are dependent upon RHM funds (mostly elderly who are married, or were abandoned or never married. WC funds care for only widows). The RHM elderly ministry balance gets pretty low, so trusting Him to do great things. He's ALWAYS faithful!

Keep HOPE, the children's ministries, pastors and other ministries He's connected us with in your prayers. Many, many thanks for your prayers!!

Please look at the photos below and read the captions, which gives a good picture of what the Lord has been doing since last month's update. Thank you always for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.

Brother Dan
ABOVE: Estheramma from Subba Reddy Colony. Her grandson's wife died in 2019, and her daughter, Mangamma (also part of the widows & elderly ministry), has had 2 major kidney stone operations recently. All live on one property, a very needy family. The grandson has 2 boys, now without a mother. Pray for Mangamma (kidney stone problems), who was again admitted into the hospital, as her recovery is not going very well, more stones now discovered in the other kidney.
ABOVE: Kamalamma from KB Palem. While visiting with relatives, she fell and had some kind of leg fracture (left leg). When in the hospital initially, an infection developed, so they moved her to a different hospital, where she had an operation to deal with the infection. Please pray for her, released from the hospital only a couple of days ago.
ABOVE: Brother Wesley (part of the widows & elderly ministry) is talking with Raghavalu from Thunagunta, the pastor in the middle. Raghavulu and his wife have many medical needs, so almost every month they need extra medical help financially.
ABOVE:  Five women from Karlapalem, also part of the widows & elderly ministy, now students in their weekly literacy class. Brother Raju is our full-time worker in this ministry, almost daily visiting homes, doing literacy classes, taking them to the hospitals, getting medical receipts, etc. The younger woman has a terminal disease and is unable to hold down a job, so is also part of this ministry.
ABOVE: Just a few days ago, these 2 young men had a motorcycle accident. Both have been helpers in our widows & elderly ministry, Anesh (left) still regularly helping with literacy classes, house repairs or other related works. Livingston is on the right. It was late at night, a pack of dogs attacking their bike as they passed by (there are MILLIONS of street dogs in India!). One of the dogs ran in front of the bike, causing the accident. The dog died immediately. We praise GOD these young men are okay, both of them hitting their heads, but Anesh especially suffering much pain, losing a lot of skin on his hand and leg, and losing 2 fingernails. He's a very nice young man; please pray for his quick recovery.
ABOVE: Brother Russel in the midst of many precious HOPE girls. Russel (from Oklahoma, USA) was at HOPE in February.
ABOVE: Brother Russel, Sister Buelah, her daughter Smitha, another staff worker and 27 HOPE girls at a park in Chirala.
ABOVE: We'll just call this brother Kumar (for security), along with his wife, the cook, and 10 girls which they oversee. This girls home is also in India, but in a different state than where HOPE is. Pray for Kumar's wife (far left); today she had an operation (he called it a "laparoscopy"), something which has hindered her from getting pregnant, but is also causing much abdomen pain.
ABOVE: The same girls as in the previous photo, along with pastors whom some of our donors have been helping over the last year or more, and their wives in a meeting worshipping & praising the Lord.
ABOVE: Seven believers whom we've asked you to pray for many, many times. After being falsely accused and in different prisons for 11 years, by our Father's marvelous grace have all been released within the last 10 months or so. Pray for them, as they are still struggling to rebuild their lives and families.
ABOVE: Precious girls Apasari (not sure of the spelling) and Rupa, the youngest in that girls home.
ABOVE: The HOPE School has both a lower kindergarten class (LKG) and an upper kindergarten (UKG). This is Miss Shailajah with her LKG class.
ABOVE: Miss Shanthoshamma with the nursery class in the HOPE School. Miss Santhoshamma has been a faithful nursery teacher in the school for several years now.
ABOVE: Jean Joy at 19 is the oldest child in HOPE at this time, here cooking some breakfast food. She'll be 20 in May, and is in her 3rd year of civil engineering at a college.
ABOVE: HOPE boys at a park in Chirala.
ABOVE: Red chilies outside the church in Thunagunta, one of the many churches we visit while doing the widows & elderly ministry. These chilies actually are from the pastor's field which he owns nearby. He told us that when he takes all this to the market, he should get about $850-900, a great blessing for his family and ministry.
