Remember the Poor
July 29, 2024 Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.
"They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do." Galatians 2:10
Why the need for such a request among Christians? Because, even though we have the love of Christ within us, it is easy to forget those whom we don't often or ever see. As the saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind." This is our request also to our readers, donors and prayer partners. It is easy to forget, or lose our burden for people halfway around the world whom we have never met personally. May the Lord enable you by His grace to "remember the poor" we are ministering to in India.
In this month's update we are sharing (via the below captions) about a couple of our girls who are not in their homes now, but staying with Sister Mary (who helps us with tutoring for some of the children, as well as other children's ministry). There's information about other children's ministry, gifts for meeting attendance, widows ministry, the education of the children, our Sunday School ministry, and ministry among the families. We are thankful for what the Lord is doing in many of the people's lives.
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58
Please see and read the photos & captions below. These captions always give you things that you can pray for. If you can bookmark our
RHM blog on our website, it is perhaps the best way to stay informed about what is happening. We try to do 15-20 blog posts a month covering the different aspects of the ministry.
Thank you ALWAYS for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.
Brother Dan
"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." Galatians 6:10

ABOVE: Bhavya Sri (left, 11 years old) and Havila (12) are staying with Sister Mary in a rented home. We are not considering this a girls home, but Sister Mary has committed her life to working with and ministering to the children, so is wanting to care for those in need. Bhavya (both parents expired) has always been with her grandmother since a baby, but the grandmother has struggled to keep her. Havila's father left the family several years ago, and the mother has health problems and struggles to keep her 2 girls with her while trying to work also. Havila's younger sister was also with Mary, but was crying, so returned to the mother. Please pray for these girls and Sister Mary.

ABOVE: For the last year we have had services on Sunday late afternoon for our elderly, children, families and whoever wants to come. In the mornings everyone attends their own churches. We like to honor those who have been attending faithfully to these services, and these here attended all 26 services from January through June of this year. From left is Chandrika and her baby (her husband is an auto driver and helps bring people to and from this meeting, but Chandrika is not obligated to come), Martha (18), Kavya (8) and the boy Arun (14).

ABOVE: These children, standing with Sister Prasanthi, were able to attend 25 of 26 meetings. Usually the one that they miss is because of sickness, or for some other reason outside of the child's control. From left is Sreeya & Soniya (both 14), Divya (11), Mary (18) and Paul (14).

ABOVE: We praise GOD for the few widows and elderly (about 10) who have faithfully continued coming for the elderly literacy classes. I've been told that they are able to read their Bibles some now, which has always been their goal. This is Chandramma with her granddaughter Deborah on her shoulder, with 2 little neighbor girls with them.

ABOVE: This widow's name is Chenchamma. She was living with her mother for years, who was on our widows list in a village we call VV Palem. Her mother recently passed, and we have now put Chenchamma on the list so she can start getting some monthly support and medical reimbursement.

ABOVE: During a recent school holiday, Brothers Raju and Marthababu gathered some boys to have a special meeting in one of their homes. This is Raju sharing with the boys.

ABOVE: Brother Marthababu and his wife, Pavani, go to many homes to visit families and share Christ with them. This is a small village that they visit on a weekly basis. Maybe 4 of the adults in this village have turned their heart to the Lord (including the woman here, and her son-in-law on the far right). The children have many negative influences around them, but we're trusting in the love and power of the Holy Spirit to bring some of them to salvation.

ABOVE: The Lord has done a really nice work in this family, and is continuing to work. It's better to not give names, and we need to limit the details, but the mother to the right has given her heart to JESUS several months ago, which seems to have had a major impact on her older daughter, who is here with her Daddy on her birthday. The Lord's working in this family started with the younger daughter a couple of years ago. Please pray for the salvation of the Daddy, and that they will remain faithful.

ABOVE: One of our girls, Shine (12 or 13, her name pronounced like shy-nee), lost her father in a tractor accident about one year ago. Her mother held a memorial service in her home recently, remembering that it's been one year since he passed. Bro. Prasanth is sharing, Shine being the 2nd girl from the right (under the stove), and her mother in the doorway looking up. Your donations are helping Shine with her education. Please pray for her family: mother, Shine and Shine's older brother Lazarus. |

ABOVE: 18 of our children are here receiving new school bags (backpacks) at their school. Havila (1st photo in this update) has since joined this school, so we have 19 children attending this school, ranging from 1st to the 10th grade.

ABOVE: Brother Bhaskara Rao (right) loves to teach the children, using puppet shows, magic tricks and other illustrations to teach them the ways of the Lord. Here he is with a small group of children in the village of Nandayapalem.

ABOVE: Here Brother Bhaskara Rao is in a village called Chilakala Colony. This church already has an established Sunday School on a weekly basis, but his input is a real blessing for them, teaching them new songs and stories.

ABOVE: Brother Marthababu and his wife, Pavani, are giving cake to Sai on his 14th birthday in June. Please pray for Sai, who has had a troubled life. He's made some bad choices, but our brothers and sisters have been a steady influence of love and counsel for him for the last couple of years. He's determined to try going to 9th grade again, and needs our prayers. Because of his track record, many people don't feel that he will succeed, but nothing is impossible with our GOD!
