Does the Lord Still Heal?
August 31, 2024 Update

Dear RHM Friends,

Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.

"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed." 1 Peter 2:24

I know He has healed me many times, although a skeptic might think these things happen to everyone, GOD having nothing to do with it. Who created our body in the first place, with the amazing ability to heal after being injured, cut, sick, etc.? Who enabled the medical field to discover so many methods to help us get healed? Would Satan and demons want people to be healed? Even the unbeliever will often ask for prayer for himself or a loved one when a serious sickness is involved. Our Father's love is so amazing, considering the fact that for billions of healings that He has done, He receives very little of the thanksgiving or praise that He so richly deserves! Think about it: how many times have we had a serious injury or pain, a fever, a virus, etc., and we are tempted to fear that it could become very serious, or we are going to die? We cry to the Lord, He heals us (whether supernaturally or through some natural means), and we go our way, without even giving Him the glory for what He has done! Sounds like the account of the 10 lepers in Luke 17:12-19.  "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8  When we pray, believe GOD for miracles, and whether it's something we think of as big or small, give HIM the glory for what He has done!

I didn't include any pictures because I just heard about it this morning, but 2 of our elderly (one widow and one married) just recently died, being promoted to glory. Thirapamma (her husband also on our list) from the village of Kothapet, and Thirupathamma (a widow) from Vaddepalem, are no longer suffering. Please pray for the comfort of their families.

Continue to pray for the girl, Shiny, and her newborn baby girl. For those who are not connected with us via our Facebook or website blog pages, Shiny had another dangerous health problem that almost took her life and/or the life of the baby. So the doctors did an emergency C-section, and the baby was delivered on August 12th. In these 19 days, the baby's had jaundice, fever, a swollen ear with puss, and difficulty breathing. Shiny's had an allergic reaction on her skin, and her blood pressure levels are high. It's surely a miracle that Shiny even became pregnant (previous story), and we are seeing His loving Hand upon both mother and child again and again, both before and after the delivery. Thank You Lord!

Giving has been way down throughout most of 2024, but we've been able to maintain the ongoing ministry efforts among the children, families and elderly. Thank you so much to all our faithful donors! The Lord blessed us with a substantial amount of donations during November and December of last year, which continues to keep us afloat this year. As we see in the parable of Matthew 25:14-30, may He always consider us faithful, whether with little or much.

Please see and read the photos & captions below. These captions always give you things that you can pray for. If you can bookmark our RHM blog on our website, it is perhaps the best way to stay informed about what is happening. We try to do 15-20 blog posts a month covering the different aspects of the ministry.

Thank you ALWAYS for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.

Brother Dan

"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."  Galatians 6:10

ABOVE: This is a miracle child, for sure. We have asked you to pray for Shiny, a friend of the ministry for years, living in Kuwait the last couple of years with her husband, who's working there. In 2022 Shiny almost died from an ectopic pregnancy, and the doctors said there was only a 20% chance of her getting pregnant again. By our Father's grace she became pregnant again, but had many problems, again endangering her life and the baby's. Each time the Lord brought her through, and on August 12th had this beautiful little girl, who they are thinking to name Ecclesia, meaning "called out one". Continue to pray for Shiny and the baby, both having some issues after the birth also: Shiny's blood pressure levels are not under control, and the baby is having breathing difficulty. Just this week, the baby had a swollen ear with puss coming out of it, so obviously there is still cause for concern.
ABOVE: This is Anusha and her little boy, Jonah (now maybe 3). You might remember that Anusha's husband Prabhakar's body died of leukemia in March 2023. In India, remarriage is often difficult, regardless of the circumstances. By our Father's grace, a pastor recommended Anusha to another Christian family who was looking for a bride for their son, and they agreed to match their boy with Anusha. They were married on the 26th of this month. Please pray that their marriage will be Christ-centered, and that the husband and his family will freely embrace Jonah as their own.
ABOVE: This sister whom Brother Wesley is praying for (don't know her name, but she's the wife of one of the pastors whom we work with, his name Jeremiah), is suffering from diabetes. She was hospitalized for 5 days. Their village is in a remote place, and good hospital facilities are a long distance away. Please pray for her.
ABOVE: This woman's name is Narayanamma, part of our Brother Wesley's congregation. Because of family problems, over 20 years ago she left her husband; they were all idolaters. Around 2022 she had a bad wound on her leg, the doctor saying her leg needed to be amputated. Some church believers brought her to the church, where she was miraculously healed. PTL! Now she is faithful in the church and growing in the Lord. Sadly, she has had breast cancer for about 9 months, and is now taking chemo treatments. Please keep her in your prayers.
ABOVE: The girl on the right is Suma, one of 5 children in her family. We told you that their father passed because of a heart attack last December, but we can see the Lord's comfort in their lives. Suma is the 2nd oldest, now studying a nursing course in what is the equivalent of 12th grade.
ABOVE: Havilah (12) with a new school bag (backpack). Havilah is one of 2 girls staying with Sister Mary because Havilah's mother and the other girl's grandmother are poor and struggling to keep the girls with them.
ABOVE: Our Sunday afternoon meeting in a village church, welcome to all. It seems to be very useful for everyone's spiritual growth, giving them an extra meeting and time of fellowship. They go to their own churches on Sunday mornings. We usually average about 35 children and youth who come each week.
ABOVE: Boys singing during the Sunday afternoon meeting. These boys are from at least 4 different towns and villages. I'm very thankful for the 2 boys with the microphones, Jeevan (left) and Sai Krishna, who have been very faithful to the meetings and who seem to be good examples for other boys.
ABOVE: Some girls leading in a song during the Sunday afternoon meeting. I sure do miss seeing all these precious people!
ABOVE: This is tuition (tutoring) class after school hours, Sister Mary leading. Because of some personal issues, Mary had to shift the tuition to a local church, which has greatly hindered many of the children who were previously coming from coming (because most of them are from Hindu or Muslim families, and the parents aren't willing to send the children to a church). Please pray about that, that the Lord will provide another home nearby where these other children would be allowed to come. The 2 bigger girls on the back, Bhavya and Havilah, are the girls staying with Sister Mary at this time.
ABOVE: Brother Prasanth is teaching a group of young people and adults (several others not in the photo) in one of our girl's home. We try to have at least one or 2 such house gatherings during the month to encourage and strengthen them in the Lord, sometimes more.
ABOVE: Brother Bhaskara Rao is leading a Sunday School class in a room I stayed in as a guest for several months. Happy to see it is being used for His glory.
ABOVE: These Sunday School children are showing a workbook, something about Life and walking with JESUS. These precious ones are in the village of Chilakala Colony, where we have 2 children we are involved with regularly (whom we sometimes help if they have needs in their life or family).
"Whatever you do, do all things to the glory of GOD." 1 Corinthians 10:31
