We Will Keep On Loving Them!
September 30, 2025 Update

Dear RHM Friends,

Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.

"This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."  John 15:12-13

As it became apparent that I might lose my visa permission to stay in India in 2020, the thought came to my mind, which I'm sure was the Holy Spirit: "Would I still have the same love for the people here, even if I never get to see them again?" At that time Covid was also wreaking havoc, and because India had travel restrictions due to Covid, I didn't return until May 2022 for a 30-day tourist trip. I went twice more in '22 and '23, staying for a total of 10 months during that time. As some of you remember, I was turned around and sent back to the US in January 2024, and haven't been able to return since. I have heard of similar experiences of other foreign believers trying to enter India, and it seems the government there is using the airports to try and catch Christians who are coming into the country to do various kinds of social or religious work.

So the question that came to my mind in 2020 while still in India has come to pass, at least up until now. I still "see" our friends there though video calls, but it is certainly not the same. Will I ever be able to go there again? Will we continue with this ministry or stop it since I can't be there personally? The answer to the 1st question, only the Lord knows. But the answer to the 2nd question is a resounding, YES, we will carry on with this ministry. It was never MY ministry to begin with, so who am I to stop it? The needs of the people don't stop, the love of JESUS and the Father for these people doesn't stop, so as long as He continues to touch hearts to assist them and bring them closer to Christ, then certainly we will carry on.

I have had the nay-sayers who feel like, since I'm not there the giving will continue to decline to the point we'll just have to shut down the ministry. I'm not buying that one at all! Our GOD is a loving GOD, and He is all-powerful. We continue to pray for, and trust Him for the financial miracles so that we can help more of the poor children, families and elderly in JESUS's Name. It's all about Him and His love for the poor of this world, so whether we have an American representative there or not, we will carry on. I stay in close touch with Brothers Prasanth and Raju, and occasionally with Brother Wesley, and periodically see most of the children and family members via video calls, especially on the children's birthdays. So keep praying, keep giving, keep sharing with others as the Lord leads you, and we will continue to see Him glorified through this ministry. Hallelujah!

Please see and read the photos & captions below. These captions always give you things that you can pray for, as well as rejoice with us for what the Lord is doing in the lives of our precious Indian friends.

Thank you ALWAYS for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.

"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."  Galatians 6:10

ABOVE: Raju and Pavani (who lead the children's ministry) are with Swarupa (20), who got 1st prize in our recent Scripture competition. She got all 40 Scriptures correct. Praise the Lord! RHM assists her and her younger sister with their college education. Swarupa's father recently had a motorcycle accident, so the mother took his street sweeping job until he recovers. Previously she also was sweeping, but harassment from other men caused her to resign that job.
ABOVE: This is the Scripture competition going on in August, Brother Raju and Sister Mary watching over them and making sure they are being honest.
ABOVE: Precious girls, from left: Soniya (15), Prasanna (16), Akshaya (15) and Mary (20). Please pray for Prasanna, who is scheduled to have a surgery on Wednesday to remove a growth on her head that has come recently, and continues to grow. Not sure what it is, but the doctor doesn't seem to think it is dangerous.
ABOVE: This is the Home Page photo on our RHM website, a precious brother and sister in front of their small village hut. Don't know their names, but the Lord does. We long to be able to care for more of these little ones who are truly poor and in need of Christ's love and teaching.
ABOVE: This is Samrajyamma, a widow in a village we call HR Nagar. She recently asked us to help her with new leaves and a tarp to cover her roof and keep the water out. We're not in position to do that, but told her to pray and trust Him. The Lord surely loves these widows, and cares for their needs.
ABOVE: Brother Wesley (right) helps us with widows & elderly ministry, here with the pastor and a few elderly in the village of Thunagunta.
ABOVE: Precious widows & elderly in the village of VV Palem. The woman on the left is a daughter or granddaughter of one of the elderly who could not attend. All the rest are our elderly, not receiving monthly support now, but still getting some medical reimbursement when needed.
ABOVE: Five girls we have in a rented home because of various needs. All 5 seem to be very happy in the home at this time. We're thankful for all the girls, but are especially excited about the 2nd and 4th girls from the left, Venkata Lakshmi and Yasaswi (both 11). They come from non-Christian backgrounds, and knew very little about Christ before coming into the home. Now they are learning and embracing. The other 3 girls, Soniya, Divya and Bindu already have good knowledge about the Lord, and are seeking Him. Please pray for these girls, and continue to pray for Sister Mary's health, the believer who is caring for the girls.
ABOVE: During some Hindu holidays in late September (actually, they are still going on), we had some special house gatherings in 4 different locations. This is a pastor, Benjamin, sharing or praying with the people outside Akshaya's home, one of our 15 years olds who lives with her grandmother.
ABOVE: This is Brother Prasanth, a pastor who helps us in ministry, sharing with a group in the house of Veni, another one of our children, now 16. Veni (on right with the red head covering) was instrumental in bringing her mother to the Lord, and now Veni's older sister is also seeking the Lord. PTL!
ABOVE: Brother Raju is sharing in the verandah of one of our mothers named Sandhya (lower right-hand corner of the photo), who has 2 teenage girls, Akshaya and Abhinaya, whom we help with some nutritious food. Both girls are weak in immunity, their father not caring for their needs properly. You can see a room to the left where boys and at least one man are listening.
ABOVE: Marthababu gathers local children to this church and shares JESUS with them 3 or 4 times a month. All but 3 of these children also attend this church regularly, one of the churches which Prasanth and his father Benjamin pastor.
ABOVE: Brother Bhaskara Rao, sitting, is just another big kid. He does great with Sunday School classes for us in 5 different villages. This class is in the village of Chinthayapalem, the room behind them one of the rooms I stayed in when I had opportunity to go to India in 2022-23.
ABOVE: This is one of Bhaskara Rao's Sunday School classes, this one in Nandayapalem. Beautiful to see the little children praying, some or most of them from non-Christian homes.
ABOVE: I shared this occasion with you previously, but it is special to me, so I'd like to share it again. The girl sitting, Pavani, turned 21 in August. She is mentally impaired, and is not able to walk, talk or function normally in any area of life. But she always seems happy, and inspires us. I think it's beautiful to see how her mother (left with the big smile) loves Pavani, even though the family is very poor, the mother not able to work much because she has to stay home most of the time to care for Pavani and her husband (left), who is also handicapped. We assist 17 year old Jyothi (at the left shoulder of Pavani, also with a big smile) with education, she also having much love for her older sister. Sister Mary is cutting the cake.
