Feed My Sheep, Strengthen Your Brethren
July 3 RHM
Update

Dear RHM Friends,

Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.

Perhaps you remember these Biblical accounts: The Lord foretold of Peter's fall in Luke 22:31, but said to Peter, "...and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." Then after Christ's Resurrection in John 21, Peter had the grievous experience of having the Lord ask him 3 times, "Do you love Me?" After Peter's weak response each time of "You know that I love you", what was our Lord's instructions? "Feed My lambs...tend My sheep...feed My sheep." Peter had already suffered a serious blow to his pride and desire to be great when he denied the Lord 3 times. Now our Master is saying in essence, "Peter, I don't need you to be the big shot, the head hancho in My kingdom. I just want you to be faithful to feed My sheep, and to do whatever I lead you to do." And that's really hard to do when you're wanting to do or be something great for the sake of your own recognition.

But through his hardships and brokenness, Peter became a humble and obedient servant of our Lord JESUS. I believe with all my heart these are the last days, and instead of trying to do or be something great, I simply want to be found faithful on that Day when standing before Him. And "feed My sheep" is what I hear Him saying to me, and to other brothers doing ministry with me. Not busy in the flesh, trying to do our own works or walking in our own efforts; but following His lead to hurting and broken people, and also to many poor and downtrodden within these ST villages. ST means "scheduled tribe", among the lowest castes within India's demonic caste system, a system which designates which groups of people have more value than others. Does that sound anything like "descrimination"? And yet, in many ways and areas of society, India is still dominated by this system.

Pray for us. With His grace and love we will share the Gospel to the poor, and try to disciple the believers, but there are also so many opportunities to reach people's hearts through tangible ways: such as helping them with their medical bills when they have no means to pay...repairing a roof that is leaking during the rainy season...helping families get their lives together again after tragedy has come and left them in desperate need... Pray with us, both for His favor and anointing as we reach out to others, and also for the funds needed to help those whom He would place within our hearts to assist. Of course we can't help everyone, but as the "good Samaritan" in Luke 10 used the resources he had to help one who was broken and in need, we hope to have the resources to help those whom He would put into our pathway. As you scroll down and look at the photos & captions, you can see some of the opportunities and needs which the Lord is leading us to minister to.

Pray also for the HOPE ministry. RHM general funds are no longer being used to help HOPE, as there are so many other needs which He is wanting us to meet. At this time, HOPE is in a good financial position, but they will need more donors and/or large donations in order to maintain that position in the coming months.

Remember, if you give to RHM General (or write a check to RHM with nothing in the memo), then those funds will be used at our discretion and according to the Spirit's leadership. If you want your gift to go specifically for the widows & elderly ministry, or to the HOPE ministry, or for pastors, or for any other particular need which you read about, then you must designate it specifically where you want it to go.

Thank you always for your love, prayers and support! Bless you.

Brother Dan

"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."  Galatians 6:10

ABOVE: After doing 2 food distributions in this small village, the door is open to do a weekly prayer here. "Prayer" is the common word used here for a service, even though singing and sharing the Word are also included. Please pray for the men of these villages, as the men are very difficult to reach.
ABOVE: A seacoast fishing village called Adavi. After teaming up with Brother Hanock's ministry to do 3 food distributions and 1 clothes distribution here, some of the villagers (mostly all the village Hindu) are wanting us to come and share Christ with them.
ABOVE: Children and ladies in Adavi. Cute, cute little ones who know very little about JESUS. There's so many strongholds in these Hindu villages; pray for their deliverance, and that the doors will not be shut to the Gospel changing their lives. "...upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18

ABOVE: Youth from Brother Prasanth's El Bethel church leading children's ministry in Adavi this Wednesday night. It was our first time to go there without something in our hands to distribute. There was a good response. Pray that the Lord will confirm the ministry of His Word with miracles in their lives to draw them near unto Him (Mark 16:20; Acts 4:29-30).
ABOVE: Rani teaching the children of her village of Marchapuri on her front porch. She and her older sister Amrutha are reaching out to these precious children.
ABOVE: A nice gathering in the ST village of Chilakala Colony, about 1/3 of the village people attending. Brother Peter (overseer of the HOPE boys home) is the pastor here. Maybe once a month we hope to come here and do ministry.
ABOVE: Since the "lockdown" started in mid-March, it has not been possible to gather the widows & elderly for prayer and sharing the Word. For a month or 2, we weren't even allowed to come into this village of Subba Reddy Colony because of the villagers' fear of outside people bringing Corona into their village. Only a few days ago Brother Raju was able to gather about half of the elderly together for prayer and encouragement.
ABOVE: As the Lord leads, He's using us to meet a variety of other needs. The girl in between her parents is 12 year old Joy, who has a serious case of diabetes. Even this last Sunday the glucometer reading was 530, and then on Wednesday it had plummeted to 22. We're doubting the accuracy of the glucometer, but she truly wasn't feeling well at these times. She just came out of the hospital about 12 days ago, as they weren't able to get her blood sugar levels under control. Her father, John, is a pastor. He also is a diabetic patient. We're helping with about $100 a month (sometimes more because of emergencies) for Joy's medical needs. Please pray for this child.
ABOVE: We're having a weekly prayer/Bible study with Amrutha, Rani & their mother. Brother Prasanth is one of the Indian pastors who's helping us so much in ministry, including the widows & elderly ministry. Amrutha & Rani also help with some of the children's ministry.
ABOVE: Bhagyamma is part of the HOPE Manna Program (separate from the RHM widows & elderly ministry). When you give to the HOPE ministry, it is also helping with the widows ministry which HOPE is involved with (about 16-18 elderly being helped daily with food).
ABOVE: The pastor on the right is helping with this Corona relief distribution which was conducted by the HOPE ministry in June. The village is called Krupa ("grace") Colony.
ABOVE: This is another Corona food distribution being conducted through HOPE, this time to some of the neighbors surrounding HOPE. Most people are now able to work again, but HOPE still has some funds to continue helping those whom they find are in need because of this Corona situation.
ABOVE: A grandmother, her daughter and grandchildren during a food distribution done via RHM in the village of Chilakala Colony. The leaves are a common item added to their curries.
ABOVE: A young lady receiving rice for her family in her village of Thotavaripalem. This is one of our earlier distributions done during the Corona relief effort, probably done in April or May. Brothers Raju and Milton are helping. RHM no longer has funds for Corona relief work at this time.
ABOVE: Sister Pramila (left) is with the 7 girls whom she and her husband are overseeing at another girls home which RHM has been assisting for years. They have 10 girls, but 3 are still with their relatives during this Corona lockdown time. Though there's not a national lockdown, the states and local authorities now are dealing with all the various issues which arise because of the virus. In probably every state, there are lockdowns at the local level where Corona cases are confirmed.
ABOVE: This is Kondamma, part of the widows & elderly ministry in Brother Wesley's area. This little house was recently constructed for her in her village of Bangarakkapalem. We've teamed up with World Challenge to run this widows & elderly ministry, WC caring for most of the widows' needs, as well as covering the costs of most of the house repairs & construction. Praise the Lord for the Body of Christ!
