2020 Christmas Project
December 4, 2020 Update

Dear RHM Friends,

Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.

Amazingly, another year is almost gone and Christmas is right around the corner. It's been a wild year since last Christmas, and for many a very difficult year. But for those who truly know Him and walk with Him, I'm sure you have tasted His steadfast love and comfort, even in the midst of trying times.
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Please pray for our Christmas Project, the ministry activities associated with it starting in about 8 days. We have a goal of $2,000, which should be enough to accomplish all He's put in our heart for this year. We plan to conduct Christmas programs in 6 different villages. I'm expecting that 250-300 people, mostly children, will be ministered to through these programs. There will be Christian songs & dances, skits, sharing the Word, prayer, giving gifts to the children, and snacks to all. It's a great opportunity to share with the poor the TRUE reason for this season. We also hope to provide new dresses and/or other gifts to all the children whom the Lord has us assisting, and doing the same for all the people in a small tribal village which we're connected to. If there are funds remaining, we hope to provide some small bonuses for some of those who are doing ministry with us.

Because there are continually many needs among those whom the Lord is loving through RHM, I don't usually mention all the specific prayer needs. But please, always keep the widows & elderly in prayer. At any given time, there will be many of them who are suffering in various ways. There are some who are bedridden (one in a photo below), and at least one, Raja Kumari, who is in the hospital right now. Raja Kumari is a widow, only about 50, but she has ongoing health issues. She was healed of cancer a year or 2 ago, but this year has had "water on the lungs" removed twice. Again she is having much pain and in the hospital. We need the Lord's healing touch. If He chooses to use the medical field, there needs to be some proper diagnosis, as they don't seem to be getting to the root of the problem. Remember the woman who reached out to touch the hem of our Lord JESUS' garment? "Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse." Mark 5:25-26  That scenario is NOT the will of our Father.

Thank you always for your love, prayers and support! Scroll down to see some of what the Lord is doing through your giving & prayers. Bless you.

Brother Dan

"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."  Galatians 6:10

Above: Little ones in the village of Golapalem with gifts at last year's Christmas program. It's probably more than 90% Hindu in this village, but many of those parents allow the children to come to the Christmas program. Quite a few adults also are observing.
ABOVE: Solomon, the son of a believer in Golapalem, participating in a puppet show in last year's Christmas program. Brother Bhaskara Rao does a nice job, along with Brother Prasanth's youth group, in leading these programs.
ABOVE: Children praying during the Christmas program in Golapalem (some of these children from other village churches). What you can't see is that there were quite a few adults on the outskirts looking on. Golapalem is one of 5 villages where we conducted Christmas programs last year. This year we're planning on 6 programs, but there will be children attending who are coming from several other villages as well.

ABOVE: Please pray for Venkayamma, part of the widows & elderly ministry. She's not well physically, and not eating properly. She's now bedridden. I'm concerned about her soul, as she has never seemed to have much understanding of the Gospel and Word of GOD, and for the last couple of years has been pretty much deaf.
ABOVE: Brother Wesley praying for the widows & elderly in the village of Thunagunta after having a prayer meeting with them and distributing new blankets to each one. In each village there are a few of the elderly missing from the gatherings because of Covid.
ABOVE: There's nearly 20 who are part of the widows & elderly ministry in this village of Subba Reddy Colony. They had just received their new blankets in late November. Love those smiles!
ABOVE: Precious widows & elderly members in Karlapalem after getting new blankets. This church is one of the branch churches where Bro. Prasanth and his father Benjamin are pastors. They have 5 branch churches locally, and there's 5 different ministers altogether who help with the preaching and teaching.
ABOVE: More elderly, these in a Valetivaripalem church where Brother Wesley does widows' ministry with them, usually twice a month. They also have just received new blankets in this photo.
ABOVE: We shared this in our most recent newsletter also, but this is Annamani. RHM has committed to help this child whenever she has needs. From birth she has had some kind of seizures, which has resulted in some brain damage. She's precious and very active, but needs healing in her brain. Sadly, some boiling milk fell onto her stomach about one month ago. She's much better now, but I can only imagine how difficult it was for her teenage mother and other relatives, trying to care for Annamani as she was in so much pain. Her young father abandoned the family.
ABOVE: Another precious child which the Lord led us to, her name Joy, a 12 year old daughter of a pastor. Joy began to have very serious diabetic problems at 11 years old, sometimes in and out of the hospital. Please pray for Joy, whose blood sugar fluctuates greatly, sometimes as high as 600, sometimes as low as 30. She's a very bright girl, able to carry on a conversation with me in English, one of only 2 or 3 children or youth we're assisting who can do that. We pay more than $100 a month for Joy's meds, but it can sometimes be 3 or $400 when she has to go to the hospital. Trusting for a MIRACLE, as the doctors simply have not been able to get her sugar levels stabilized.
ABOVE: Two young women (both in their early 30's) who are part of our "tailoring project", graciously sponsored by World Challenge (started by David Wilkerson, now run by his son Gary). All 13 are in poor financial position, about half of them single mothers abandoned by their husbands. They've only been learning for about one month. Here, Karima (left) and Jyothi are both probably trying to stitch a new dress for their daughters.
ABOVE: This is the above mother Jyothi's daughter, Prasanna (5) in the dress stitched by her Mom. It's certainly not perfect, but considering Jyothi's only been learning for one month, I think she did pretty good. Praise the Lord for this tailoring project, which hopefully will lead to some income for these single mothers!
ABOVE: The Lord has also led us each month to provide some rice, vegetables and other needed cooking items for needy families. At least 9 of the families on this food distribution list are members of the widows & elderly ministry, including Premavathi above. Her monthly govt pension (about $32) is helping to support Premavathi and 2 or 3 other family members who stay with her.
ABOVE: Food & provisions for Subba Lakshmi (part of the widows' ministry) and her granddaughter, Bhavya. As we've shared previously, Bhavya's parents both died of AIDS when she was a baby.
ABOVE: This little family is Blessy (right, both her parents dying when she was small), her grandmother Salome (part of the widows' ministry), and Blessy's Aunt (Blessy's mother's sister). By His grace (using your donations), we're helping Blessy with her education expenses, she now in her 2nd year of Intermediate (equivalent to a senior in high school).
ABOVE: This is "literacy class" in a village we call KB Palem. This is actually part of the widows & elderly ministry, but children are also welcome if it's needed. In this particular village most of the children don't attend school, even before Covid. As in this photo, usually 4 or 5 of the elderly will come, with anywhere from 10 to 25 children also coming. Brother Raju leads this ministry.
ABOVE: Even though I'm in America, the Lord has blessed me to be able to participate in the birthdays of the children whom we are assisting in India. The girl on the left with the pink dress is Esther Rani ("Queen Esther"), who turned 14 a few days ago. The little girl to her right in the photo is Sukanya, who turned 5 less than 2 weeks ago. She and her older sister next to her are also on our support list, their mother dying and the Dad abandoning the family. On this day, the people gathered together to celebrate Esther Rani's birthday, and I got to participate with them via WhatsApp. PTL!
