Aswini & Rani Marriage Requests
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.
"So GOD created man in His
own image; in the image of GOD He created him; male and female He created them. Then GOD blessed them..." Genesis 1:27
Elizabeth Rani's marriage was on the 9th of May (Rani meaning "queen", thus Queen Elizabeth). The young man, Prasad, seems to be a really nice young man and a sincere believer. Another brother and I had a great time visiting with the two of them several days ago. All their marriage expenses were paid, but they don't have a lot to get started in their newly wedded life. So far RHM has given them about $350 to purchase what they need.
I was supposed to attend another girl's marriage on the 12th, but sadly, that marriage was cancelled the day before the wedding. Instead of entering into speculation about who is at fault, better to just pray for them. Unfortunately, much money was wasted, but we pray for the comfort of those who are hurting, and for His will to be done in these 2 families. I don't want to give anymore details in order not to shame anyone unnecessarily.
Aswini is scheduled to be married on the 27th of this month. RHM has committed to pay about $700 for Aswini's marriage & reception expenses. She doesn't have parents, and her family is almost entirely Hindu. Because she is marrying a Christian young man, Rajesh, her family has told Aswini that they will not pay anything for her (although they could easily pay for the whole thing). Aswini has money in the bank, as well as some gold, but is hoping she doesn't have to spend much of that for these expenses (hoping to keep most of that for their future, and for their children). RHM (via our donors) is about the only assistance she has. In this part of India, mostly the boy's family will take care of most of the marriage expenses, and the girl's side will take care of the reception. Aswini also needs to buy her own wedding dress, and has a few more expenses for the wedding.
No pressure in this appeal; if you feel inclined to give toward Rani and/or Aswini's marriages, please do so. Neither couple is in deep poverty, but whatever we can do to assist them would be a blessing for them. Whether you do or not, pray for the Lord's blessing upon their newly married lives.
Bless you always for your prayers and support!
Brother Dan
