Faithful and True
April 1, 2023 Update
Dear RHM Friends,
Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord JESUS.
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war." Revelation 19:11
There are many mysteries and perplexing situations which take place while we are on our pilgrimage here in this world. But one thing is for sure: when it is all said and done, we will see Him, and then we will understand clearly that, truly, He is Faithful and True.
Some praise reports: Baji & Navya continue to heal after Navya donated part of her liver for Baji's liver transplant in early February. Chanti continues to progress after her high-risk hysterectomy, also in early February. We asked you to pray for a young believer named Latha
, who burned her right arm and hand very badly more than 2 weeks ago. You can see in the
photos below that she is healing up very well.
A man named Samba Sivarao, the father of one of our local believers here, was bitten by a very poisonous snake only 2 or 3 days ago. The doctors felt it was very serious and said the poison was already working in his blood (not sure what all that means). But during his 2nd day in ICU he suddenly began to recover very well. Still he is in the hospital, but they say he is out of danger. Praise the Lord for His faithful Hand in all these situations.
Please pray for another critical situation, a situation which only a miracle can turn around. A precious sister in the Lord (better not to give her name; the Lord knows), was unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer. She's about 33 years old. I had just seen her family (she's not married, but lives with her mother, brother and sister) in January, and then in video calls while I was in America; she seemed fine. Very shortly after the diagnosis, the doctors had to remove one of her breasts. A week or so later, when followup tests and scans were done, it was found that the cancer had spread throughout her body and into her bones. The doctors are starting some radiation now, but are not giving much hope for her recovery. When I heard her voice yesterday on the phone, it's obvious she has become very weak, but she and her family are continuing to look to the Lord JESUS for a miracle. We all know: just one Word from His mouth, and cancer has to flee! Pray for this sweet young lady.
Pray also for our widows & elderly ministry. We are hoping in the Lord to provide new sponsors for the WE ministry, as our main sponsor, World Challenge, will not be sponsoring our ministry after 2023. WC's support accounts for at least 70% of the WE ministry, so unless the Lord provides other sources of support, we will need to make some drastic cuts. It looks like WC funds will be completed around August for 2023. Please pray for this. We're very thankful for the partnership we've had with WC since 2018 for the blessing of the widows!
Yesterday, I came across a govt official who was warning me very strictly that I should not be giving any "religious speeches" while in India. For the first 20 years or more of coming to India, I did not have any such problems with any govt people or police. But in more recent years, the govt is getting more serious about foreigners coming here and sharing with others about Christ. Pray for the Lord's continued protection, not only from the government or police, but also from any others who could make complaints or false accusations because they don't like my presence here.
Please scroll down for precious photos & captions of the work in India. There is much information within these captions about what the Lord is doing in India via this ministry and through your donations and prayers.
Bless you always for your prayers and support!
Brother Dan
"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." Galatians 6:10

ABOVE: Kotamma is about 90 years old. She and her daughter are both widows, and are both on our widows list. A granddaughter committed suicide about 2 or 3 months ago, so now 2 great grandchildren (a boy and a girl, both younger than 11) are with them. The part which we recently constructed is on the left, previously having a small brick wall and leaves for a roof. The part on the right is for a small shop where they are selling chips and many small items to people in the neighborhood.

ABOVE: Bullamayi, about 80 years old, was previously in a hut which we (actually the Lord through His people) built a couple of years ago. Now she's in a more permanent structure; praise the Lord! The hut on the right is where one of her sons stays. He has some mental instability and isn't able to work consistently, but he is faithful to attend the church services.

ABOVE: Chinnamyi has been a faithful believer for many years. Her husband was very abusive, breaking her leg one time (which never healed properly), and finally sent her out of the home because she is a believer. He died in 2015. She had one son (who also died), and has one daughter, who is a believer, but also having a husband who won't allow her to come to the church. She took loans because of her son's health problems, and is still paying off those loans. We're helping her with a small amount of money each month, and we're thankful to be able to help build her this more permanent home. Previously she was in a hut. Praise the Lord!

ABOVE: Sister Latha was in a hurry to get ready to go to church on Sunday morning, March 12th. She didn't realize the danger of pouring gasoline on the wood in order to get it to light more quickly (she was wanting to boil water). It did light more quickly, but not as she expected! Her dress accidentally caught on fire, so she frantically tried to put out the fire. By His grace and love she was able to get the fire out, and her life was spared. Praise the Lord!

ABOVE: Again this is Sister Latha (above photo also), showing how her arm and hand is healing after only 17 days. Most of the dead skin has come off, and it all seems to be healing well. She and all her family (and we also) are so thankful!

ABOVE: Brother Prasanth is giving a gift from the school to Navya. RHM is helping 20 different children in this particular school with fees & materials, the school administration working with us by giving us a discount for our children. This prize is for the "best student in the school". Considering that the school has grades nursery through 10th grade, it's no small accomplishment that the school would choose an 11 year old 6th grader as the best student. Navya's a sweet girl, most importantly having a very tender heart for the Lord. She's also a humble girl (so far) from a humble family (her Daddy is a shepherd, like David with a deep love for the Lord). Pray for Navya.

ABOVE: Here, our brother is giving a gift to Sreeya, this award given to her as the "best student in the 8th grade". We are very thankful that, although so many of our children come from troubled backgrounds, at least 3 or 4 of them have the best marks in their particular grade. We only help 20 in a school with 170 children or more.

ABOVE: Brother Raju is giving some instructions to children in regard to learning the Scriptures (we had just completed Scripture exams in this meeting which took place 2 days ago). We are very thankful that so many children are now coming! Praise the Lord! This is a monthly gathering of the children from many different places, and we hope in the Lord that the numbers will continue to increase.

ABOVE: While many children were in the process of writing their Scripture exam, Asiya (about 11) passed out. You might remember this child, a girl we asked you to pray for several months ago, and again in January. Last November she was hearing voices, seeing visions, screaming, falling unconscious. When her Muslim family first brought her to the church (fearful she was going to die), the pastor and church members also were concerned for her life, but prayed for her deliverance. She has been doing much better, but occasionally goes into unconsciousness. Shortly after this photo was taken, Asiya was carried into another room where we spent much time in prayer for her. After some time, she slowly woke up again. Please keep this precious girl in your prayers. Her parents still are not seeking the Lord as they should, having a lot of pressure from the other Muslims in their community.

ABOVE: Little Kavya (about 6 or 7, in the 2nd grade) saying her 10 Scriptures which she memorized. She even said an 11th one that was not on her Scripture list, but was on the older children's list. She's too young to be able to write the Scriptures in her Telugu language, so she recited them verbally. Sister Pavani is on the left, recording the number of Scriptures which the children were able to say correctly. |

ABOVE: This is a tutoring class being conducted at Sister Mary's home 5 or 6 days a week. After the children get out of their schools, come home and have time to get a snack and rest for a few minutes, they go to Mary's for extra tutoring. They also use this time to do their homework. Only 2 of these children are ones which RHM funds are supporting, but several others we are involved with via meetings, Sunday Schools and/or taking them with us on excursions.

ABOVE: As we shared with you on our blog and FB pages, Prabhakar (above with his now one year old boy, Jona) passed away with leukemia on March 12th. It was shocking to hear that his body had already died, as he seemed to be fine when I saw him in January. His wife Anusha has shared many testimonies about his unwavering faith and love for the Lord during his final days here on earth. We thank the Lord for the "blessed hope" of eternal salvation for those who love Him!
Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Please keep Anusha and little Jona in your prayers.

ABOVE: Abhishek (9) is one of many children who received some extra clothes in January. The funds were actually given for Christmas 2022, but we made a decision to wait until I left India to give the clothes so that hopefully the children and their families can realize that these gifts are not from one man, but from our heavenly Father Who is the Giver of all good things (
James 1:17). We are also having the conviction that we don't want the children to think of "Christmas" as just a great time to get some gifts. Christmas is about Christ and the love of our Creator that was sent down to earth to save mankind from their sins. Hallelujah!

ABOVE: Another gift which was given in January from Christmas funds (partly also because the bookstore was very late in getting the books that we had ordered in December) were children's Bible storybooks. We had the desire to get a good, quality Bible storybook into the homes of all the children's families which we work with on a regular basis. These are not storybooks with goofy little pics for very small children, but books with a solid message, along with very nice drawings of the great stories in GOD's Word.

ABOVE: This is "literacy class" in one of the local towns where we work. The middle 3 women are all widows on our widows list. The sister on the left is the mother of Latha, the girl in the above photos who burned her arm and hand. The sister on the right is a precious believer who has brought many people into the church by her bold witness. All these women have a desire to learn how to read, primarily so that they can be able to read the Bible well.

ABOVE: Beautiful little children! The 2 on the right, Deborah (6) and her 2 year old brother, Vijay Kumar, are children whom RHM helps whenever they have any need in their lives. Their Daddy abandoned their home when Vijay was only a month or 2 old. They and their mother stay with their grandmother, who is on our widows' list. The other 4 children are precious little neighborhood children from Hindu families. Please pray that the Lord will use us in many different ways to touch many different lives in many different communities where we are involved.
